On May 24th, the SERMAS team showcased our innovative avatar at the King’s Festival of AI Family Day. This was a highly rewarding experience, allowing us to witness firsthand the positive impact our technology has on young audiences.
Our interactive assistant was a significant draw, running non-stop for over five hours with continuous engagement from both children and their parents. The assistant successfully facilitated two-way interactions across a wide range of topics, demonstrating its versatility. Conversations flowed from subjects directly related to the festival and the SERMAS project to general curiosities like math and sports, all while maintaining an emphasis on the core principles of AI.
A key element of the assistant’s success was its human-like interaction style, which helped to create genuinely meaningful moments. This style encouraged exploration and fostered long conversations that went well beyond the simple delivery of information. Crucially, the assistant was able to respond thoughtfully to many questions posed by the children, expertly adapting to their unique curiosities and keeping the interaction engaging and dynamic throughout the day. Overall the feedback from both children and parents was positive.
It was great to have been part of the King’s Festival of AI Family Day and to have seen firsthand the tangible impact of how AI can inspire, connect with, and ignite the curiosity of young minds.
