MEET OUR INNOVATORS

OC1- DEVELOP

3DforXR

AI-based 3D object generator for XR applications

The project aims to develop a multimodal software module that will allow the generation of textured 3D mesh models from 2D images or text.

3Dify

Automatically Turning 2D Human Images into Animated Customizable Avatars with Emotions

This sub-project aims to design, develop and test 3Dify, a user-friendly and open-source web application to empower end-users to effortlessly convert 2D images into realistic 3D avatars requiring no technical skills in 3D modelling.

ALIVE

Avatar Liveness for Intelligent Virtual Empathy

ALIVE aims to develop Empathic Virtual Assistants (EVAs) for customer support use cases. EVAs will be capable of recognising, interpreting and responding to human emotions, by applying state-of-the-art Deep Learning (DL) algorithms for vision, text, voice and wearable-based emotion recognition.

LANGSWITCH

Multilingual Automatic Speech Recognition in noisy environments

This sub-project proposes an automatic speech recognition solution in the form of a web-based module, with an accessible API that exposes the necessary functionalities to be easily integrated in XR systems and different business software.

PRINIA

Privacy-Preserving Facial Recognition in Extended Reality

The sub-project is an initiative to address the critical need for protecting individual privacy and personal data in the evolving landscape of facial recognition technology with Extended Reality (XR) environments.

OC2- DEMONSTRATE

AIM

Augmented Reality Assisted System for Energy Infrastructure Management

The AIM project seeks to revolutionize energy infrastructure management using advanced Augmented Reality (AR) technologies. Its primary goal is to enhance the efficiency, usability, accuracy, and safety of field operations for utility workers in the energy sector. This
is achieved through the integration of positioning sensors (GNSS), Geographical Information Systems (GIS), and 3D infrastructure
databases into a comprehensive AR-assisted system.

XR-SHIELD

eXtended Reality-based Ship Hull Inspection and Enhanced Life-cycle Diagnostics

The XR-SHIELD project focuses on the domain of manufacturing, specifically ship manufacturing and maintenance, addressing the field of guidance. The project aims to revolutionize ship hull inspections by leveraging advanced extended reality (XR) technologies integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance inspection precision, safety, and cost-efficiency.

eXtendRCity

Socially Acceptable XR Technology Demonstrator with Virtual Assistant for Cultural Engagement and Urban Development

eXtendRCity proposes a demonstration of XR technology, utilizing the toolkit developed by the SERMAS project and generative AI, to create an interactive and socially acceptable virtual assistant. This assistant will be installed on an outdoor screen in public spaces, transforming these areas into interactive hubs where citizens can engage with their urban environment. By leveraging the capabilities of XR technology, the project aims to enhance the quality of life for city residents and a sense of cultural identity while providing valuable insights for urban planners.
